Mottisfont
The traditional English rose garden
Video shows: 80 plants in a garden 20m long with planting space 1.2m wide, each side.
This is the garden where roses and romance feature. Repeated planting creates rhythms of plants with a manicured and formal appearance.
Mottisfont planting style
Mottisfont starts with the timeless rose, which sets the tone for the whole garden. Repeated planting provides the line of symmetry and a traditional feel continues with the choice of plants - from hydrangeas to anemone; familiar flowers from the best British gardens. The vibrant red rose mixes with blues, pinks and splashes of white and yellow. Some might say it’s the union jack in a garden.
